April 23 2026 LabCoP Extended ECHO Session: Opportunities for Patient-Centric Sampling in African Diagnostics

Traditional healthcare is often delivered through rigid pathways where patients travel to a lab or hospital, trained staff collect a sample, and patients wait or return days later for results and treatment. This model creates barriers for many people across Africa. Patient-centric healthcare takes a different approach. It puts the patient’s needs, convenience, and context at the centre of how we collect samples, deliver test results, and provide services. It is a system that adapts to the patient and places them at the centre of healthcare service delivery.

This session, presented by Joleen White, Senior Advisor, BioData Solutions LLC, USA, and Chris Hendriksz, Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder, Decentra Health, explores how we can leverage patient-centric diagnostics to expand access and improve client outcomes.
