COVID-19 ECHO Session #47: SARS-CoV-2 Ag RDT e-Learning Course

September 9, 2021

On 7 September 2021, this COVID-19 ECHO session was convened by ASLM, in conjunction with Africa CDC, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, and Last Mile Health to provide an orientation and overview of the COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Testing (Ag RDT) training e-learning course. The course, hosted online through the ASLM Academy, allows free and flexible self-learning that enables healthcare service providers to train and acquire knowledge and skills for safe and correct use of SARS-CoV-2 Ag RDTs in the diagnosis of COVID-19. The e-learning course addresses the limitation of physical training, where healthcare workers must engage in face-to-face training and incur associated costs and travel time. Mr Nqobile Ndlovu, ASLM CEO provided the introduction and overview of the e-learning course, with additional presentations made by Mashate Silver (ASLM), Anum Lalan, (CHAI), and Elizabeth Bennert (Last Mile Health).
