Volume 9, Issue 2
LabCoP Connect is the official newsletter of the ASLM Laboratory Community of Practice (LabCoP), a platform dedicated to strengthening laboratory systems through knowledge sharing, peer learning, and evidence-based decision-making across Africa. The newsletter highlights emerging laboratory system innovations, country experiences, technical guidance, ECHO session summaries, policy developments, and best practices that support health security, disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness, and sustainable laboratory networks.
Each edition features insights from laboratory leaders, updates on strategic initiatives, practical tools and frameworks, and success stories from countries working to build resilient, integrated, and sustainable laboratory systems. LabCoP Connect serves as a valuable resource for Ministries of Health, laboratory professionals, policymakers, implementing partners, researchers, and public health stakeholders committed to advancing diagnostic and laboratory services across the continent. Based on the July 2026 edition, the newsletter covers topics such as GIS laboratory mapping, laboratory system strengthening, quality management systems, diagnostic network optimization, sustainability planning, and community learning initiatives.
