Effective waste management involves safe procedures for minimizing, segregating, collecting, storing, transporting, treating, and disposing waste. All waste producers, including medical facilities, are legally and financially responsible for safe disposal. To meet this requirement, understanding waste generation volumes and required resources is crucial.
In this session, Monte Martin (CDC) and Louis Ekome (Roche) launch the Laboratory Waste Cost Assessment Framework (WCAF) v2, a tool for forecasting waste disposal costs for molecular platforms. They share early implementation experiences from Nigeria.
