April 2022 LabCoP Extended ECHO Session: Role of Network Optimisation to Achieve 95-90-0 for MTB Disease Elimination

April 19, 2022

On 7 April, ASLM’s LabCoP convened an Extended ECHO session about the role of diagnostic network optimization to achieve 95-90-0 for mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) disease elimination while scaling up testing. This webinar provided perspectives from Roche Diagnostics on the role of network optimisation to achieve 95-90-0 for MTB disease elimination; the deployment of some of these new testing options to strategically complement the existing near-patient capabilities by considering the geographic area and the volume of testing required; and multi-disease testing needs to improve programmatic results and enhance progress of tuberculosis (TB) eradication. Presentations were made by Mr Mehan Barathlall, Marketing Lead, Molecular Solutions, Roche Diagnostics, South Africa; Mr Edwin Muiruri, Product Manager, TB and Hepatitis, Roche Diagnostics, South Africa; and Prof Matilu Mwau, Deputy Director at KEMRI, Kenya. The session provides information and guidance to program teams supporting TB diagnostics and care. Please follow the links here to view the recorded ECHO session and download the presentation slides.
