LabCoP ECHO Session

The global support for HIV, TB and Malaria among other diseases response programs have been generally available, sustained and effective for the most affected regions of the world. However, a drop in external funding is inevitable and this calls for both immediate and long-term mitigation measures to ensure sustainable programming among supported regions and countries.

Malawi is currently developing and implementing a sustainable HIV and TB program to ensure continued delivery of care, treatment and diagnostic services in the context of narrowing funding landscape.

In this session presented by Stanley Ngoma, the Care and treatment Program Officer, Directorate of HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis, and Chifundo Hiwa, the Assistant Director, Heath Technical Support Service, Ministry of Heath, Malawi, we outline the process, key structures and stakeholders involved in designing and implementing the strategies, challenges anticipated effective implementation of emergence response plans among others.
