Community-led monitoring is a participatory approach that empowers communities to systematically collect and analyze data to improve health services and address local challenges.
The ASLM Laboratory Systems Strengthening Community of Practice (LabCoP), in collaboration with ITPC Global, convened an ECHO session showcasing how community-led monitoring (CLM) is generating essential evidence to protect and enhance access to WHO‑recommended and nationally endorsed HIV diagnostic and laboratory services.
During this session, we presented WHO normative guidance alongside community-generated evidence to highlight gaps between policy, funding, and service delivery—and to discuss how targeted advocacy can help bridge these gaps.
The webinar also examined the real-time impact of current funding challenges on HIV service delivery. Community partners from Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone shared key findings from their CLM pilot initiatives.
