Purpose of the role

ASLM and Market Access Africa with funding from the Global Fund will be supporting the Ministry of Health of Gabon and Its Partners (reference laboratory etc.) in Strengthening National Capacity for the Adoption, Verification, Selection, and Implementation of a Three-Test HIV Diagnostic Algorithm, including African-Manufactured Tests. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the implementation of a project aimed at improving HIV testing quality, reducing diagnostic costs, and promoting the integration of affordable, African-made rapid diagnostic tests in Gabon. The role involves close coordination with an expert, national stakeholders, and partners to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support planning and scheduling of project activities, meetings, and workshops.
  • Assist in mapping stakeholders and compiling contact lists.
  • Prepare, format, and edit presentations, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist in data collection, literature review, and drafting of knowledge products.
  • Coordinate logistics for stakeholder engagements and verification study activities.
  • Maintain project files, track deliverables, and follow up on action points. 

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Laboratory Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in health or diagnostics.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently and
  • Experience working in a multicultural team.
  • Fluency in English and French proficiency is required.
