Viral hepatitis is a global public health emergency with over 25o million people living with hepatitis B, 50 Million with hepatitis C and deaths due to hepatitis increasing from 1.1 million in 2019 to 1.3 Million in 2022.
High infection rates, low case identification coupled with eventual low treatment initiation is a “triple tragedy” that require urgent reversal.
