On 27 Jan 2022, this extended ECHO session was convened to review the experiences from Tanzania’s first Tuberculosis Diagnostic Network Assessment. The aim of this assessment was to holistically understand the TB diagnostic network, identify key strengths and weaknesses and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve the network in Tanzania. The presentation was made by Samwel Mulungu, a TB diagnostic specialist, with the Infectious Diseases Detection and Surveillance Project implemented by PATH. He highlighted the methodology employed, tools used in accomplishing the assessment and summaries of key findings, lessons learned, proposed recommendations and next steps.
