In this Antimicrobial (AMR) Community of Practice (CoP) webinar, we learn about how Tanzania has managed to implement an AMR surveillance system based on the WHONET software and implementing the WHO Point Prevalence Survey on Antibiotic Use in Hospitals, as part of their National Action Plan on AMR implementation. We also discuss how this surveillance system is supporting Tanzania to optimise the use of antimicrobial medicines based on the AMR surveillance data and information generated from this data.
