AMR CoP ECHO Session Late Aug 2022: Advancing AMR Surveillance to Public Health Action

In this Antimicrobial (AMR) Community of Practice (CoP) webinar, we discuss the worrying pattern of AMR observed in children under-5 years in one region in Ghana and its implication on AMR National Action Plan (NAP) implementation. We also explore strategies adopted by Uganda to support AMR surveillance and the role of country Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Committees (AMRCCs) in moving AMR surveillance data to action. Presentations are made by Mary Magdalene Osei, Principal Research Assistant, Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Ghana Medical School; and Ibrahim Mugerwa, Program Officer, Antimicrobial Resistance & Global Health Security (GHSA), Uganda.
