The first branch of ASLM in Botswana by officially ASLM-Botswana was officially launched at a symposium from 25-26 June in Gaborone, Botswana. The symposium also presented the newly established Botswana Institute for Clinical Laboratory Professionals (BICLP) and celebrated the Ministry of Health’s international accreditation of four public health medical laboratories.

The two-day meeting included key note speeches from the Minister of Health, the Reverend Dr. Seakgosing, and U.S. Ambassador Michelle Gavin. Healthcare professionals, policy makers, and local and international stakeholders presented and discuss the latest developments in international laboratory accreditation and its impact on healthcare delivery and disease surveillance.
