Laboratory-Clinical Interface
ASLM strives to bridge the communication gap between physicians and laboratory personnel by fostering communication, laboratory capacity, quality standards, education and infrastructure.
ASLM will improve the laboratory-clinical interface by:
- Promoting post-graduate training and certification;
- Providing online support materials, e-learning resources, and access to open-source (free) scientific journals;
- Developing guidelines to establish a training programme for Continuing Medical Laboratory Education (CMLE), meant for laboratory workers (ASCP), PhD scientists and clinicians;
- Promoting laboratory education and providing increased accessibility to support materials.
You can read an article about the laboratory-clinical interface in the first edition of Lab Culture. Read the article here.
